Did you know that many games originate from Indigenous cultures? In sport, we will play some fun games originating from this land. Our art activity will be exploring the shapes and designs from nature, similar to the way the traditional custodians used simple symbols to represent their surroundings. Our personalized pot will then be filled with a bush tucker plant to take home. Lastly, we will hone our own forest skills through more games that teach us how to move in the wild. In the afternoon, we will be getting our groove on for the Talent Show, and all who enter win Kool HQ cash!

As the cold winds of winter blow, we will be wrapped up tight in our cozy headquarters with a movie and warm chocolate. But not before we get busy making our own snow for STEM. We will also be taking home a snowflake garland made in art class and jumping about racing to get as many balls over the net as possible in a fun adaptation of volleyball for our sport activity. What a wonderful way to spend a Winter Wonderland day.

Arcadia Day is a fantastic fun day to use up our Kool HQ cash and win prizes. Plus, we have a whole day of activities to entertain. There is sport, which will be a game of wit as we run around the sports court avoiding being eaten by Pacman or getting caught in the maze of dead ends. We will don a chef’s hat and be the stars of our own cooking experience while designing and decorating delicious apple doughnuts. We will use nature to design our own Tic Tac Toe game to take home. And we will don our figurative science hats in the creation of a crazy, ever-expanding potion we call “Elephant Toothpaste.” We then finish the day playing Arcadia-style games for tokens and prizes. Lets go Into the Wild! Join us for a fun animal hunt and explore the great outdoors of obstacles, art, baking and building. In art, we will make binoculars for watching the birds from their picnic rugs. For the bear that wants that extra layer of comfort and style, the children will create the type of home a bear can feel proud of and raise a little bear family, using blankets and boxes to make a perfect cub cubby. We will also get the chance to join an exciting game of trivia with the opportunity for more prizes.

Friday is full of favourites as we celebrate the end of the week with a firm kid favourite. Yes, you guessed it (or maybe you didn’t). Today we will be doing our much-loved classic day of buying and selling at our very own Market Day. Each child brings toys, games, and/or food, anything they would like to sell at Market Day. Children get to be stall holders, shop, and use the Kool HQ currency of Kool HQ cash! We will also make our own signs in art and displays presenting our wares. Before the market, we will also have a fun run around with a game of Survivor Tag for our sports activity and enjoy making fairy bread for cooking. Finish the day with lots of great things to take home and a full belly from all the lovely market food.

Today is all about forest fun and jungle magic! Get ready to hop like rabbits in our sporty game Run Rabbit Run. Let’s venture further down the rabbit hole for our art activity and create fierce forest creature masks to parade our jungle energy. We’ll even try our hand at making a fun dish called Ants on a Log during our cooking experience. To end the day on a high note, we’ll groove to jungle beats with music and dance our way through the last hours of this magical day.

Welcome to a day filled with all things snaky, wiggly, and shaky! Test your skill and daring as we jump over wiggling snakes and dodge imaginary snake bites in our sporty challenge. We’ll also get creative by making our own snake-themed sandwiches resembling the vibrant Rainbow Serpent. We’ll craft our own chalk for STEM fun and even design games like snakes and ladders. Of course, we can’t forget the excitement of crafting snake-shaped pots to take home as keepsakes. Lastly, for a shift of pace, we will try our luck with a quick and exciting game of bingo.

It’s time for inventiveness, entrepreneurial challenges, and creative flair on Arcadia Day! Students will unleash their creativity by designing and making games for each other. Tokens will be earned by winners which can be exchanged for real prizes. As part of the activities, children can enjoy making their own Potatoes in a Jacket for cooking before diving into an exhilarating game of Capture the Flag for sport. The day promises fun games, prizes, and delicious treats to keep everyone energized.

Prepare to become ninja warriors by stretching, flexing, and honing your skills. Share your moves and challenge each other to be your best selves in a fun and engaging environment. Embrace your inner ninja with parkour activities where you’ll leap, roll, tuck, and fold your way across obstacles. Unwind with your creative self-making Hama bead art, stimulate your minds with science experiments like Magic Milk, and finish the day by enjoying a dynamic show from our special guest, Ranger Jamie.

Market Day is a whirlwind of activities including a dance competition, sign-making, bubble races, and most importantly a market where Kool HQ children will get to sell their wares and make Kool HQ cash! Cash that they can use to buy toys, games, books, food, and more. Let’s see what creative and entrepreneurial ventures the children will bring to this lively event!
