Child Health & Wellness

Children should attend the service when they are well and able to participate in the general routine of the service. This includes the ability to engage with their peers and Educators as well as within the program of the day.

When children are well they can cope with the challenges of socialising with peers (other children) and expectations of being a part of the group. Learning and engagement will occur when the child comes to the service when they are feeling well.

As a general principle, children should not be brought to the service if they have a contagious illness and if they are not able to cope adequately with the usual service routines and experiences.

Parents/guardians should phone the service if in doubt about their child being well enough to attend.
