Overview
Kool HQ Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) program at Reddam House North Shore delivering high-quality care in a safe, stimulating, and friendly environment. The program provides children with fun, educational after-school care and holiday programs where they can explore, play, and make friends in a safe, welcoming environment.
We are conveniently located on the Reddam House North Shore campus across two levels:
Ground Level: An interactive indoor space with areas for relaxation, arts and crafts, a covered play area connected to playground equipment, and an outdoor terrace.
Level 2: A spacious indoor breakout area and an outdoor terrace with plenty of room for both structured activities and free play.

Our full-time coordinator and team of dedicated educators design weekly programs following the My Time, Our Place framework, supporting children’s educational, physical, social, and emotional growth. At Reddam, children benefit from a 1:10 educator-to-child ratio. Our programs are founded on children’s emerging interests and are developed with family involvement to achieve the best learning outcomes for everyone.
All food served aligns with the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating, ensuring nutritious and balanced meals. We offer a flexible menu that accommodates various dietary needs, featuring fresh, seasonal options served buffet-style during aftercare to suit different arrival times.
The after-school care provides a smooth extension to the school day, and our holiday program offers engaging, action-packed days with opportunities to connect with our local community through excursions, incursions, and local outings.
Building on first-hand experience at Reddam House Sydney, we’re excited to bring high-quality out-of-school-hours care to North Shore families.

The holiday program at Reddam House North Shore will begin during the school holidays following Term 1, 2025, and bookings will open approximately 6 weeks before the start date of the holiday program.

Join us for an exciting day of active fun and creativity! Start with a stretch and flex session before diving into our Mini Olympics, where teamwork and athletic skills shine. Unleash your creativity with colorful fruit mosaics and design your own sports sculpture inspired by your favorite athletes. End the day with a Talent Show—don’t miss this action-packed day of sport, art, and movement!

Get ready for a wild adventure! Kick off the day with exciting animal-themed games before crafting delicious fruit animals. Design and create a mini habitat for your handcrafted creatures, combining creativity with hands-on learning in a fun and interactive way.
TEAM BUILDER
Wednesday 9 April
Prepare for an action-packed day of teamwork and fun! Strengthen your connections through cooperative games and tackle exciting challenges in Minute to Win It. Get crafty with beaded bracelets and keyrings, then enter Ticket Quest, where you’ll play games, collect tickets, and win prizes. A fantastic day to build friendships and lasting memories!

MUSIC MAKERS
Monday 14 April
A day of music, movement, and creativity! Challenge your rhythm and coordination with music games, build a mini-instrument, and explore beats with your friends. Express yourself in a dance session, whip up tasty popcorn treats, and showcase your talents in the Kool HQ Talent Show—bring along your instrument if you have one!
ROBOTICS
Tuesday 15 April
Build and program a robot using lights, sensors, and motors! Working in pairs, children will explore the excitement of robotics with hands-on building and programming—no computers needed. Plus, enjoy an Autumn Treasure Hunt and create a beautiful Leaf Garland.
DESIGN AND CREATE
Wednesday 16 April
Unleash your creativity! Start with fun athletic challenges in the park, then plan and design your own game. Build it using recyclable materials, play your friends’ creations, and collect tokens to win prizes. A perfect mix of fun, learning, and sustainability!

A day packed with egg-citing Easter activities! Work in teams for an exciting Rob the Nest game, create and decorate an Easter basket for your treasure hunt treats, and make delicious chocolate crackle nests. End the day with an afternoon of bingo and free play!

Get up and dance with us to shake it all out in song and dance on the last day of the holidays!
We can’t wait to see the Marble Maze Creations you design and create. Put your LEGO skills to the test and create some great creations in groups or solo, your imagination will lead the way. Then onto Block Portraits for something colourful and crafty. Wrap up the holidays and chill out with a relaxing movie and free play and games.

What does an after school care day at Kool HQ look like?

At Kool HQ, we ensure that children feel safe and welcomed from the moment they arrive. Our educators greet the children warmly, assist them in transitioning from school, and create a nurturing environment where everyone feels comfortable.
At the beginning of the school year, all children will be handed over to the aftercare meeting point by their teacher to help them become familiar with the location.
Children in Years 1–6 go directly to the meeting point, while Kindy children are picked up from their classrooms by an educator. All educators wear t-shirts with the Kool HQ logo, making them easy to identify. When they arrive at the service, children sign in, place their belongings in a designated area, and are ready to engage in the day’s activities.
The area is designed to spark children’s interest and let them engage with activities immediately upon arrival. There are colouring stations, literacy templates, and math activities, including fun equations, mazes, and spelling challenges. We offer a chill-out zone, providing a quiet space for relaxing or engaging in social play. For those who enjoy games, there’s a variety of board games and drawing activities to explore, ensuring a welcoming and vibrant start to their time with us.
As the year begins, we’ll hold regular group meetings to establish a predictable routine and develop the program together with the children. Later in the year, these meetings will be shortened to allow more freedom, and we’ll often come together in a relaxed and fun atmosphere to discuss the day’s themes and activities.

Our activities include quiet free play, sports, creative arts, cooking, and STEM projects, both indoors and outdoors. Children can choose what they want to do! Whether they wish to be creative, improve their sports skills, or spend time with friends, there is something for everyone.

Afternoon Tea is a self-serve buffet featuring a rich selection of food. All meals served at Kool HQ comply with the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating, ensuring they are nutritious and balanced. We offer a flexible menu that accommodates various dietary needs. A child-friendly menu is available at our service, allowing children to see what’s on offer.
Extra Curricular Activities

Children can attend Kool HQ after school care, either after or in between their co-curricular activities. To support their schedule, food is available until all children arrive. We kindly ask parents to use the Co-Curricular Notification Form to inform us of their child’s finish time on days when they attend these activities. This helps us ensure the timely arrival of your child and allows us to know when to expect them.

Fees after max CCS^^
^ Early Bird: Save $10 on the daily fee with our Early Bird rates when you book at least 2 days per week per child during the Early Bird booking period. This discount reduces the fee to $94 for Standard and $104 for Extended before any CCS is applied. T&Cs apply.
^^ CCS: The Child Care Subsidy may apply to your family. To determine your eligibility and calculate your subsidy, please visit Centrelink’s Payment and Service Finder.
Excursion: A $30 rebatable fee (attracting CCS) will be added on days with scheduled excursions, covering the extra costs of the experience and travel. Refer to the program schedule for specific excursion days.

Automatic language translation
